Ética del quehacer docente universitario: trascendiendo lo estético y lo convencional

    En el contexto universitario actual, definir qué referimos con aquello de “docentes éticos” es clave, y lo es porque el profesorado de las Universidades lidia entre formar estudiantes en el marco de la investigación y el conocimiento, y entre ser funcionales a un sistema universitario que ve en el estudiante un sujeto rentable. Eso implica en el marco de esta investigación, situar la ética docente más allá de lo estético, de lo moral y del dogmatismo curricular, de modo que trascienda la convención socio-cultural que reduce lo ético a los actos de vestir con formalidad y de actuar con determinada rigidez. En ese sentido el objetivo de este abordaje investigativo, es que se vincule la “ética docente” con la integridad académica esencial a todo profesor, y que se evidencia en la forma en la que este dirige a los educandos, para la consecución de valores, de competencias profesionales y de una alta dosis de responsabilidad social. Por eso es necesario que el docente comprenda que se requiere la integración sinérgica entre el ethosy el telosde la formación universitaria, de modo que se dedique con calidad manifiesta a la tarea de ser un mentor en la formación global estudiantil.

    In the current university context, defining what we mean by that of “ethical teachers” is key, and it is because the faculty of the Universities struggles between training students in the framework of research and knowledge, and between being functional to a university system that a profitable subject sees in the student. That implies within the framework of this investigation, to place teaching ethics beyond aesthetics, morals and curricular dogmatism, so that it transcends the socio-cultural convention that reduces ethics to acts of formally dressing and acting With a certain stiffness. In that sense, the objective of this research approach is that “teaching ethics” be linked to the essential academic integrity of every teacher, and that it is evidenced in the way in which it directs students, for the achievement of values, of professional skills and a high dose of social responsibility. That is why it is necessary for the teacher to understand that the synergistic integration between ethos and the telos of university education is required, so that he dedicates himself with manifest quality to the task of being a mentor in the global student formation
