Resumen de La influencia de Maquiavelo en los neoconservadores americanos. Coincidencias y discrepancias

El presente artículo trata de una cuestión pendiente: la comparación sistemática, punto por punto, de las ideas acerca del derecho y la política de Nicolás Maquiavelo, representante de la teoría política renacentista, y los neoconservadores americanos. A pesar de la separación de varios siglos, existen grandes semejanzas entre el autor florentino de la transición del siglo XV al XVI y los neoconservadores americanos del siglo XXI. La metodología seguida es el análisis comparativo de las ideas del florentino y los neoconservadores en cada uno de los apartados del trabajo. La conclusión relevante consiste en que las ideas de Maquiavelo sobre la sabiduría política, especialmente la capacidad de predicción y resolución de hechos políticos futuros, no está presente en los neoconservadores, que en este aspecto se muestran olvidadizos discípulos del maestro florentino, mientras que existe una gran coincidencia en el relativismo moral, la relación de la virtud y la fortuna, la historia como método y la milicia ciudadana.

Abstract:This article refers to an issue pending: the systematic comparison, point by point, of the ideas about the law and policy of Machiavelli, representative of the Renaissance political theory, and the American neo-conservatives. Despite the separation of several centuries, there are great similarities between the Florentine author of the transition from the 15th century to the 16th and American neoconservatives of the 21th century.The methodology followed is the comparative analysis of the ideas of the Florentine author and the neoconservatives in each of sections of the work. The relevant conclusion is that the ideas of Machiavelli on political wisdom, especially the ability of prediction and resolution of future political events, is not present in the neoconservatives, in this regard forgetful disciples of the Florentine master, while there is a great coincidence in moral relativism, relationship of virtue and fortune, history as method and citizen militia.Summary:1.
