    El presente ensayo resume los resultados del trabajo fin de máster con el mismo título en el que se estudia el poder imperial de los príncipes entre los años 235 y 244, utilizando la numismática como fuente principal. Para ello se analizan los gobiernos adscritos a esta franja temporal de forma separada, primero observando sus características generales y posteriormente atendiendo a los tipos monetales acuñados. De esta manera se determina el fuerte componente militar del principado de Maximino el Tracio, el carácter civil del de Gordiano I, Gordiano II, Pupieno y Balbino así como la adscripción a una tendencia más propia del siglo III en general de Gordiano III.

    This essay summarizes the results of the master’s thesis with the same title in which the imperial power of the emperors between years 235 and 244 is studied using numismatics as the main source. To this end, the governments assigned to this timeframe are analyzed separately, first observing their general characteristics and subsequently attending to the minted monetary types. In this way, the strong military component of the reign of Maximinus Thrax, the civil character of Gordian I, Gordian II, Pupienus and Balbinus are determined, as well as the ascription to a tendency more typical of the third century in general of Gordian III
