Resumen de El arte de la primera globalización: transferencias artísticas entre las cuatro partes del mundo

  Tras la consolidación de la primera globalización en el primer cuarto del siglo XVI, se constituyeron una serie de circuitos que comunicaron de modo permanente los cuatro continentes, las cuatro partes del mundo. Los crecientes intercambios incluyeron al mismo tiempo hombres y mujeres, cultivos y ganados, productos exóticos y creaciones intelectuales y artísticas. Este intenso tráfico posibilitó por tanto la circulación de los objetos suntuarios, de las obras plásticas, de los estilos arquitectónicos y de las piezas musicales, al tiempo que se difundía el conocimiento de los diversos continentes entre sí y las producciones de los distintos mundos servían de inspiración a los artistas de otras latitudes. Nuestro trabajo trata de ofrecer una panorámica de estas transferencias artísticas que, al amparo de la “historia global”, se han convertido en un campo de estudio muy cultivadopor los historiadores de nuestros días.

  After the consolidation of the first globalization in the first quarter of the sixteenth century, a series of circuits were constituted that communicated in a permanent way the four continents, the four parts of the world. The growing exchanges included at the same time men and women, crops and cattle, exotic goods and intellectual and artistic creations. This intense traffic made possible therefore the circulation of sumptuary objects, plastic works, architectural styles and musical pieces, while the knowledge between the different continents outspreaded and the productions of the different worlds inspired the artists of other latitudes. Our work tries to offer a panoramic view of these artistic transfers that, sheltered by the “global history”, has become a field of study widely cultivated by nowadays historians.
