La visita pastoral realizada por el nuevo obispo de la Seo de Urgell, Oleguer de Montserrat de Oleguer, al Valle de Aneu, permitió detectar graves deficiencias en el comportamiento moral y religioso de su clero secular. El ensayo analiza la tipología de estos comportamientos y la confrontación de los rectores con la jurisdicción del obispo, lo que permite ver algunos de los límites reales de la reforma católica en España todavía a finales del sigloXVII. Fundador del oratorio de San Felipe Neri en Barcelona, Oleguer de Montserrat escribirá un pequeño libro al final de su vida en el que reflexiona sobre la responsabilidad de los obispos en la selección de los sujetos dignos para ejercer el sacerdocio.

The pastoral visit made by the new bishop of the Seo de Urgell, Oleguer de Montserrat, to the Aneu Valley, allowed to detect serious deficiencies in the moral and religious behavior of his secular clergy. The essay analyzes the typology of these behaviors and the confrontation of the rectors with the jurisdiction of the bishop, which allows us to see some of the real limits of Catholic reform in Spain still at the end of the 17th century. Founder of the oratory of San Felipe Neri in Barcelona, Oleguer de Montserrat will write a small book at the end of his life in which he reflects on the responsibility of bishops in the selection of worthy subjects to exercise the priesthood.
