    Estudio de las muertes del justo y del pecador, un tema muy poco atendido por la historiografía en el marco de la cultura macabra de la Cristiandad occidental. El estudio se realiza desde una doble perspectiva: su consideración como un género más dentro de esa cultura y sus posibles fuentes textuales e iconográficas desde la Edad Media hasta el siglo XX. El análisis en la larga duración posibilita, mediante un ejercicio de historia comparada, fijar espacial, cronológica y conceptualmente las persistencias y las transformaciones presentes en la iconografía de dicho género.

    Study of the deaths of the just and the sinner, a topic that is not very well attended by historiography within the framework of the macabre culture of Western Christianity. The study is carried out from a double perspective: its consideration as a genre within that culture and its possible textual and iconographic sources from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. The long-term analysis makes it possible, through an exercise in comparative history, to establish the persistences and transformations present in the iconography of this genre spatially, chronologically and conceptually.
