Teresa of Cartagena is an author who in recent times has aroused great interest especially because she is a woman, a nun, who wrote two works or treatises in Castile in the mid-fifteenth century, the Grove of the Sick and Admiraçion Operum King. Her own illness, deafness, will take her down the path of writing. In this work I will allow myself to highlight the “Jewish” and “conversational” influences that are perceived in thefirst of the two works by this author.
