  Este artículo es fruto de una investigación completa de las fuentes archivísticas y familiares sobre Eduardo Sanjuán Castro, presidente del Sindicato de Obreros Tabaqueros de Ambos Sexos (CNT), número dos de la Compañía Arrendataria de Tabacos en zona republicana y agente del SIM (Servicio de Investigación Militar republicano, 1937-39). Los cuantiosos datos archivísticos se interpretan y entrelazan con tradición oral familiar y contribuyen conjuntamente a la microhistoria de un notable cenetista. Esta microhistoria aporta nuevos datos a la historiografía de los anarquistas canarios en el periodo prebélico y bélico, del sindicalismo libertario del tabaco y del SIM.

  This paper is the result of the comprehensive research of the archival and family sources related to Eduardo Sanjuán Castro, President of the Tobacco Workers Union (Sindicato de Obreros Tabaqueros de Ambos Sexos) affiliated with the anarchist CNT, number two board member of the Compañia Arrendataria de Tabaco in the republican zone during the Spanish Civil War, and agent of the SIM, (the republican Servicio de Investigación Militar, 1937-39). The very substantial archival information is interpreted and intertwined with oral family narratives. Together, these sources form the microhistory of a notable anarchist leader that contributes new insights to the historiography of key Canarian anarchist leaders in the pre-war and war period, of the anarchist unions in the tobacco industry, and of the SIM.
