    Cecilia Böhl de Faber (1796-1877) tuvo afición a la escritura desde muy joven: sus primeros pasos literarios ya se observan en las décadas iniciales del siglo XIX. En el artículo se examina cómo emerge su identidad autorial, cómo se expresa mediante su voz autorial y cómo representa al sujeto femenino, en una selección de las primeras creaciones de la autora publicadas por Camille Pitollet a inicios del siglo XX. Por consiguiente, se argumenta que la carrera literaria de la escritora comienza antes de su elección del seudónimo Fernán Caballero y su decisión de publicar sus obras como La gaviota en 1849.

    Cecilia Böhl de Faber (1796-1877) developed a great enthusiasm for writing since a young age: her first literary steps already take place in the initial decades of the 19th century. In this article I examine how her authorial identity emerges, how she expresses herself through her authorial voice, and how she represents the female subject, in a selection of the first creations of the author published by Camille Pitollet at the beginning of the 20th century. As a result, I argue that this writer’s literary career begins before her choosing to write under the pseudonym Fernán Caballero and to publish her works such as La gaviota in 1849.
