    El más reciente fallo de la Corte Constitucional Colombiana en el que se exhorta al Poder Legislativo a legislar sobre los derechos de las parejas del mismos sexo para ofi cializar su unión, abre un importante espacio de debate en el país. El presente texto pretende contribuir al debate mediante un repaso histórico, constitucional, legal e incluso doctrinal de la fi gura. En último lugar, mediante la teoría de la reifi cación se toma postura frente a la posibilidad de matrimonio civil entre parejas del mismo sexo.

    The most recent sentence fromy the Colombian Constitutional Court which the Legislative Power is urged to legislate on the rights of same sex couples to formalize their union opens an important space for debate in the country. This text aims to contribute to the debate through a historical, constitutional, legal and even doctrinal review of the figure.. Finally, using the theory of reification stance is taken on the possibility of civil marriage between same-sex couples.
