Resumen de La presencia de combatientes extranjeros en el frente de Extremadura

Se pretende un primer acercamiento y análisis tanto de las unidades internacionales que estuvieron presentes en el frente de Extremadura y en su retaguardia, como de la biografías de aquellos individuos de nacionalidad extranjera que, sin pertenecer a las Brigadas Internacionales, también combatieron en esta región. Extremadura destacó durante la guerra por su situación e importancia estratégica, considerada por igual por el bando rebelde como por el de la República, lo que motivó que fuera escenario de decisivas acciones bélicas y de la presencia de unidades militares internacionales, también tanto en un campo como en otro.

My intention, in this paper, is to offer a first approach and an analysis both of the internacional brigadists who were fighting in the fronts of Extremadura and the rearguard, and of the biographies of those foreign volunteers who fought outside the internacional units in the same region. Extremadura was an important and strategic piece of land boch for the rebels and for the republicans. It was soon turned in to the setcing of decisive battles with the presence of international volunteers fighting in both sides.
