  Se estudia la distribución actual del cangrejo de río autóctono en la provincia de Valencia. Además, se han detectado otras dos especies alóctonas de cangrejo: el cangrejo rojo, más ampliamente distribuido en los ríos principales y marjales litorales, y el cangrejo señal, del que se ha localizado sólo una población. Se han detectado únicamente tres poblaciones de cangrejo autóctono, frente a las 12-15 encontradas hace 15 años. En suma, se estima un total de 10-12 poblaciones en la Comunidad Valenciana.

  The actual distribution of native crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes) at the province of Valencia has been studied. Other species of crayfish have been detected: red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii), which is the most widespread, particularly in the main rivers and littoral marshes, and signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus), of which one population has been located. Only three populations of the native species were detected, compared with the 12-15 populations existing in the last survey 15 years ago. This amounts to 10- 12 the total number of populations surviving at the Comunidad Valenciana.
