Encontramos en la legislación de la Provincia de Catamarca disposiciones que promueven la generación de energía a través de fuentes renovables. La provincia ha adherido a los principales regímenes de promoción impulsados por la Nación incorporando benefi cios que se encuentran mayormente reglamentados para su efectiva aplicabilidad e invitando a sus municipios a legislar en el mismo sentido. Este trabajo concluye que existe un creciente interés por parte de los legisladores provinciales por incorporar normas que promuevan la generación sustentable y renovable de energía. No obstante, por el momento, este interés sólo se limita al dictado de algunos benefi cios tributario ambientales, alguno de los cuales se encuentran todavía sin reglamentar

We fi nd in the legislation of the Province of Catamarca provisions that promote the generation of energy through renewable sources.
The Province has adhered to the main promotion regimes promoted by the Nation incorporating benefi ts that are mostly regulated for its effective applicability and inviting its municipalities to legislate in the same direction.
This chapter concludes that there is a growing interest on the part of the provincial lawmakers to incorporate legal instrument for promoting the sustainable and renewable generation of energy. However, for the moment, this interest is only limited to the issuance of some environmental tax benefi ts, some of which are still unregulated
