  • This essay aims to explore the changes of the city’s use that arise from the urban regenera-tion policies of the last four decades and the growth of urban attractions. Apart from the posi-tive outcomes, such as the development of technology and creativity-related economic activi-ties, some negative effects can be observed. They are referred to the expulsion of permanent population due to the increase of temporary dwellings available on online platforms, such as Airbnb.
