La serie de cartas de profesión femeninas del Císter malagueño, en concreto las circunscritas al siglo XVll, ofrecen reproducciones manuscritas seriadas, en el ámbito de la ornamentación, de motivos escudiformes referidos a distintas secuencias hagiográficas o símbolos religiosos, casi todos ellos afectos a la realidad histórica de la orden del Císter. Identificarlos, describirlos, agruparlos y darlos a conocer será el principal objetivo de estas líneas, con la finalidad de esbozar conclusiones en torno a la conexión de estas realizaciones con la heráldica eclesiástica y su vínculo con la extracción social de la profesa o el desarrollo de su vida secular.

The series of feminine profession documents belonging to the Cistercian Abbey ofSanta Ana in Málaga, in particular those ones referred to the l7th century, offer serial handwritten reproductions, in the area of ornamentation, about shields related to different hagiographical sequences or religious symbols, almost all of them sympathetic on the historical reality of the Cistercian Order. To identify them, to describe them, to group them and to announce them will be the principal aim of these lines, with the purpose of outlining conclusions concerning the connection of these accomplishments with the ecclesiastic heraldry and its link with the social extraction of the professing women or the development of their secular life.
