    El capítulo quinto del libro I de la Philosophia primade Avicena es la fuente obligada de la tesis del ente como lo primero conocido. Asimismo, presenta uno de los desarrollos de la idea de los multivoca del ente, es decir, los términos que tienen el mismo carácter de nociones primeras que están presente en la mente y que se identifican con el ente en su extensión, aunque aportan en la comprensión. El artículo desarrolla un comentario a los principales elementos presentes en el texto a fin de dar a conocer una de las fuentes más relevantes de la teoría de los trascendentales de la escolástica latina.

    Avicenna’s Philosophia prima (I,5) is the primary source for the idea of the being (ens) as the first thing conceived by the intellect. He also develops de idea of the multivoca of the being, i.e., the notions which share the status of first notions conceived by the intellect. They are identified with the being (ens) by extension, but they also bring along another type of comprehension. This article presents the main ideas developed by Avicenna in the text, in order to let the reader know one of the chief sources of the transcendental thought of Latin Scholastic
