The objective of this study was to identify the types of coping strategies and the level of resilience that a sample of older adults, victims of the Colombian armed conflict, presents. We worked with 60 older adults who were direct victims of the armed conflict through a non-experimental quantitative approach study with a cross-sectional descriptive scope, with non-probabilistic sampling at convenience. The instruments used were the scale of coping strategies-modified (EEC-M) and the resilience scale of Wagnild and Young adapted by Novella. As results, it was found that the most implemented coping strategies were religion, problem solving, emotional avoidance and positive re-evaluation and those of less use were aggressive reaction, search for social support, search for professional support, cognitive avoidance, denial, autonomy, Expect and expression of the difficulty of coping. Regarding the results of the resilience variable, high levels were found that confirm that the sample presents resilient characteristics.
