    La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las formas de financiamiento para los emprendedores en la actualidad, a través del modelo del crowdfunding. Esta herramienta del siglo XXI permite la obtención de recursos para implementar nuevos proyectos e ideas de negocios a escala mundial, a través de campañas vía web. Se utilizó un enfoque mixto cualitativo y cuantitativo, con investigación de tipo exploratoria y descriptiva, revisando la bibliografía más actual. Se utilizó como instrumento la encuesta y la misma se realizó en la ciudad de Guayaquil, la ciudad más productiva de Ecuador. Se concluye que aún existe desconocimiento con respecto a este modelo en sus distintas variantes, principalmente, en los países latinoamericanos necesitando implementar campañas de información para que se socialicen los beneficios del crowdfunding.

    The objective of this research is to analyze the forms of financing for entrepreneurs in the present through the crowdfunding model. This 21st century tool allows the obtainment of resources to implement new projects and business ideas worldwide through web campaigns. A qualitative and quantitative mixed approach was used, with exploratory and descriptive research, reviewing the most current bibliography. The survey was used as an instrument and it was carried out in the city of Guayaquil, the most productive city in Ecuador. It is concluded that there is still ignorance regarding this model in its different variants, mainly in Latin American countries, needing to implement information campaigns so that the benefits of crowdfunding are socialized.
