    In this article, a sinuous journey is made in which the complex interactions and complicities between theater and history are revealed. Taking as a starting point the Greek tragedy, which in its own way accounts for historical events, approaches theater and history in Colombia and Latin America. Theater and history, history and theater are for the author two dimensions that intersect, repeat, convene and are cited, hence the different forms of political theater. Both theater and history account for the bloody struggles for power, in the midst of which history becomes, often, a great set, against whose background it is up to us to investigate the type of historical-theatrical character that we are undermined to represent

    En este artículo, se realiza un sinuoso recorrido en el que se ponen de manifiesto las complejas interacciones y complicidades entre el teatro y la historia. Tomando como punto de partida la tragedia griega, que a su manera da cuenta de acontecimientos históricos, se aproxima al teatro y a la historia en Colombia y en América Latina. Teatro e historia, historia y teatro son para el autor dos dimensiones que se cruzan, se repiten, se convocan y se citan, de ahí las distintas formas del teatro político. Teatro el teatro como la historia dan cuenta de las cruentas luchas por el poder, en medio de las cuales la historia se convierte, muchas veces, en un gran decorado, sobre cuyo fondo nos corresponde indagar el tipo de personaje histórico-teatral que estamos conminados a representar.
