  • Resumen
    • History shows that for small states like Liechtenstein it is not easy to perform on the world political stage. This is mostly due to their weakened state sovereignty, their small territory and their small population. However, the fact that small states can also exist and be recognized shows that international law is effective. This article is intended to illustrate and demonstrate this thesis using the example of Liechtenstein. The history of Liechtenstein becoming a state proves that the struggle for international recognition and independence under international law can be long but rewarding.
