    Este artículo se centra en el Memorial del monasterio de las terciarias franciscanas de Santa Inés de Perusa, donde se registra la aceptación, la toma de hábito, la profesión y la muerte de estas religiosas del s.XVII. Si bien el formulario utilizado por los distintos amanuenses que se sucedieron en la redacción del Memorial parece monótono y repetitivo; todavía esas frases sobrias y sintéticas contienen muchos elementos que nos permiten conocer la vida interna del monasterio. Las hermanas procedian no solo de la nobleza, sino también de clases sociales más bajas. La comunidad estaba integrada por hermanas instruidas y hermanas legas. Todas proveían de su mentenimiento, tanto con sus dotes como con los ingresos del instituto educativo anexo al monasterio. La vida de clausura era vivida regularmente, sin graves problemas disciplinarios ni económicos, en los últimos momentos de vida recibían los sacramentos y vivían estos momentos de forma edificante. Aunque es obvio que para reconstruir, en época moderna, la historia del monasterios de Santa Inés, el Memorial se nos presenta como una fuente insuficiente. De ahí la necesidad de recurrir a otros documentos que permitan clarificar otros aspectos de la vida de las religiosas, como por ejemplo su formación cultural, la administración, el valor del patrimonio y la relación de las hermanas con las autoridades civiles.

    This article studies the Memoriale of the St. Agnes Monastery of the Franciscan Tertiary sisters in Perugia. In the Memoriale is the record of the admission, the clothing, the profession, and the death of members of this seventeenth century community of women religious. Althogh the forms used by successive scribes may seem monotonous and repetitive, those same spare, terse, phrases convey no little information that makes it possible to gain knowledge of the internal life of the monastery. The nuns came not only from the nobility but also from the lower orders; there was a distinction between choir nuns and lay sisters; they provided for themselvs both by their dowries and by income from the girls' boarding school attached to the monstery; their enclosed way of life proceeded regularly, and there were no serious problems, either disciplinary or economic; at the point of dearh, they received the sacraments appropriately; their demeanour was edifying. It is, however, obvious that the Memoriale is not a sufficient source for his monastery's history in the modern era; hence the need to have recourse to other documents, in order to shed light on other aspects of the nuns' ife, such as, e.g., their cultural formaation, the extent and the administration of their property, and their relations with the civil authorities.
