Resumen de San Agustín y Etty Hillesum: dos corazones sedientos de conocimiento

En este artículo se realiza un acercamiento al itinerario existencial de dos insignes testigos espirituales, San Agustín de Hipona y Etty Hillesum.
Desde una lectura comparativa se buscó rastrear en las obras confesionales de ambos autores las convergencias que emergen respecto al conocimiento, a la pregunta por «lo humano», a la búsqueda de la verdad y al encuentro con Dios. Desde una interpretación filosófico-teológica, se logró visibilizar la riqueza humana y espiritual que surge cuando el ser humano alcanza una comprensión del mundo anclada en la conciencia de su condición humana y de su inherente vulnerabilidad

The purpose of this article is to study the existential itinerary of two outstanding spiritual witnesses, Saint Augustine of Hippo and Etty Hillesum.
It will attempt, by means of a comparative reading of the confessional works of both authors, to trace the convergences which emerge with respect to knowledge, the question of what is «human», the search for truth and the encounter with God. On the basis of a philosophical-theological interpretation, it is possible to see the human and spiritual richness that arises when a person achieves an understanding of the world which is anchored in the awareness of his or her human condition and inherent vulnerability
