Resumen de La consideración de los riesgos geológicos de movimientos del terreno, aludes y terremotos para la planificación territorial en Cataluña

Jorge Fleta, A. Roca, J. Palau, M. Barberá, C. Galiano, Josep Fortuny Terricabres, F. Miralles

  • For regional planning it is needed a more and more precise knowledge of the environmental geology and geological hazards. The mapping of caution areas from the geological hazards related to mass movements, subsidences and collapses, snow avalanches and earthquakes are included within the territorial plans of Catalonia. This territorial planning at regional level and municipal level gives support to the urban development avoiding vulnerable structures in hazard prone zones, establishing the minimum criteria that exposed buildings and structures have to fulfill which improving the decision-making and control functions in the municipalities. In the regional level approach at scale 1:50.000, the objective is to carry out a rough characterization of the natural hazards prone aereas. In the municipality approach, usually at scale 1:5.000, the objective is to recognize and delimitate the urban geohazards conditioning their urban planning.
