This essay shows an attempt to calculate the growth time of carbonate concretions Into detrltlc materials. These concretions are located in the materials of Devonian upper at the Iberian Range (Rodanas Formation), near to Tabuenca (Zaragoza). This Formation made up of detritic material, constituted by sandstones and siltstones. We have considered the growth model proposed by Torrijo (2003), who considered the existence of diffusion mechanism with diagenetic redistribution and intergranular flow.
So that we have estimated a growth time of 0.25 My for one concretion with 10 cm in diameter and a flow velocity of 1 m/y.
