    El artículo muestra cómo fomentar el uso del arte y sus diversas expresiones en la educación de niños y jóvenes. Se inicia reflexionado sobre la educación actual, la que se aspira y la que se propone en el contexto de la temática planteada. La música no debe ser un fin en sí mismo, vinculada a otras áreas del saber, a los valores, la historia y el patrimonio, ofrece muchas posibilidades formativas, es un medio para el desarrollo de cualidades humanas y competencias para la vida en sociedad. Todas las personas deberían tener la posibilidad de crear o apreciar el arte en todas sus expresiones, el medio debe ofrecer múltiples y variadas experiencias que les permita desarrollar habilidades artísticas, culturales y creativas en contextos educativos formales o informales. El docente tiene un rol fundamental en la creación de escenarios que estimulen en los niños y jóvenes la sensibilidad artística, el desarrollo de potencialidades creativas, a través de experiencias en las cuales el arte sea eje transversal de la educación.

    The article shows how to encourage the use of art and its various expressions in the education of children and young people. It starts reflecting on the current education, the one that is aspired and the one that is proposed in the context of the proposed theme. Music should not be an end in itself, linked to other areas of knowledge, values, history and heritage, offers many formative possibilities, it is a means for the development of human qualities and skills for life in society. All people should have the possibility to create or appreciate art in all its expressions, the medium must offer multiple and varied experiences that allow them to develop artistic, cultural and creative skills in formal or informal educational contexts. The teacher has a fundamental role in the creation of scenarios that stimulate in children and young people the artistic sensibility, the development of creative potentialities, through experiences in which art is the transversal axis of education.
