    Pharmacists play a key role with regard to vigilance concerning the risk of drug-related iatrogenesis through therapeutic patient education, their knowledge of drug interactions as well as the prevention of adverse effects linked to the taking of the medicine itself. In this context, they must therefore pay attention to medicines causing ototoxicity or ocular toxicity, particularly in patients with a visual or hearing impairment.

    Le pharmacien joue un rôle primordial de vigilance concernant le risque de iatrogénie médicamenteuse par l’éducation thérapeutique du patient, la connaissance des interactions, mais également la prévention des effets indésirables liés à la prise du médicament seul. Dans ce contexte, il doit donc prêter attention aux médicaments oculo- ou ototoxiques, tout particulièrement chez les patients en situation de déficience visuelle ou auditive.
