    This paper aims to investigate the theme of the cooperation agreement which in the past has been the subject of extensive discussions in Italy with reference to the "Mani Pulite" investigations that began in 1992 and in Brazil with the "Lava Jato" operation two decades later. Today, the issue has been reprojected into current events following the proposal and approval of very recent reforms in both States
