    A través de una serie de espacios y momentos vinculados a la actividad pesquera, se observa la importancia de las mujeres en las comunidades costeras cantábricas entre el siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX. Además del componente económico, se han de analizar fenómenos sociales y culturales, y es desde la óptica de la historia sociocultural donde el estudio de espacios de sociabilidad como el puerto, la plaza o mercado y la fábrica deparan resultados significativos. En el marco de una investigación, aún en proceso, sobre comunidades de pescadores, se proponen unos primeros resultados y consideraciones sobre las mujeres del pescador

    It is throughout a series of spaces and moments, connected to the fishing activities, that we can perceive the importance of women within the communities of the Cantabric coast, during the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Together with the economic aspect, we should analyse social and cultural phenomena, because it is from the perspective of sociocultural history that we can obtain significant results in the study of areas of sociability such as the port, the square, the market or the factory. In the framework of a research, still in progress, about communities of fishermen, we propose some first results and considerations about the women of the fisherman.
