Before the advancements in the agriculture, of the environmental impacts that put in risk the health of the human beings and of the crisis of the modern standard of agriculture, discussions appear on new sustainable production tendencies, when were called a sustainable agriculture. They are characterized because of being ecologically correct, economically viable, socially just and adaptable. There are challenging proposals for foods production in harmony with the man and the environment. They all have own philosophies and in some cases, with religious motivation. These models are not results of ready packets, it is the question of the development from the prior knowledge of the farmers. It is not a simple turn to the past, it is a continuous activity of identifying the innovations and adaptations in front of the ecological and economical transformations that they characterize for a continuous change.
One contributes in this form to an auto-sustainable society able to attend his necessities and of other beings where she is situated.

Diante dos avanços na agricultura, dos impactos ambientais que colocam em risco a saúde dos seres humanos e da crise do padrão moderno de agricultura, surgem discussões sobre novas tendências sustentáveis de produção, chamadas de agricultura sustentável. Caracterizam-se por serem ecologicamente correta, economicamente viável, socialmente justa e adaptável. São propostas desafiadoras para produção de alimentos em harmonia com o homem e o meio ambiente. Todas possuem filosofias próprias e em alguns casos, com motivação religiosa. Esses modelos não são resultados de pacotes prontos, trata-se do desenvolvimento a partir do conhecimento prévio dos agricultores. Não é uma simples volta ao passado, é uma atividade contínua de identificar as inovações e adaptações frente às transformações ecológicas e econômicas que caracterizam por uma mutação contínua. Contribui-se dessa forma para uma sociedade auto-sustentável capaz de atender as suas necessidades e dos outros seres onde ela se situa.
