Manifestaciones bucales en niños VIH/SIDA con alteraciones hematológicas que asistieron al Centro de Atención a Personas con Enfermedades Infectocontagiosas "Elsa La Corte Anselmi" (CAPEI/UCV) período 1999-2006

    El presente trabajo se realiza con el Objetivo de determinar las manifestaciones bucales que presentaron los niños VIH/SIDA con alteraciones hematológicas que asistieron al CAPEI/UCV, en el período 1999-2006. Materiales y métodos: Estudio retrospectivo que se realizó de la revisión de las historias clínicas de los niños VIH/SIDA en edades comprendidas entre 6 y 12 años que presentaron alteraciones hematológicas y se relacionó con las manifestaciones bucales. Resultados: la alteración hematológica predominante fue la anemia con un 51% ; la manifestación bucal predominante fue el eritema con un 40%. Conclusión: Los resultados sugieren la integración del Post Grado de Odontología Infantil al programa de atención a niños VIH/SIDA del Hospital Clínico Universitario (HCU).

    The intention of the study is determinate oral manifestations presented by HIV/AIDS children that attendts to CAPEI/UCV with hematological disorders, during the period 1999-2006. Materials and methods: restrospective study records the relationship of hematological disorders with oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS children between ages 6 to 12years old of patients attendet 1999-2006. Results: the predominant hematological disorder shown was the anemia. 51%. The predominant oral disorder shown was erythema. 40%. Conclusion: Shown the importance of the pediatric dentist on children integral medical assistance the results suggest the fusion of the specialization program in pediatric dentistry with the HIV/AIDS children medical attendance at HCU-UCV.
