    Entre los días 3 y 5 de diciembrede 2013 se celebraron las I Jornadas de Ar-queología del Bajo Guadalquivir, organizadaspor la asociación de Amigos del Libro y lasBibliotecas Luis de Eguílaz y la FundaciónCasa de Medina Sidonia, en Sanlúcar de Ba-rrameda (Cádiz); la sede institucional de lasJornadas fue el histórico Palacio Ducal de Me-dina Sidonia, uno de los edificios más em-blemáticos y antiguos de la comarca del BajoGuadalquivir. Esta cita, que quiere ser anual,congregó en Sanlúcar a un nutrido grupo deestudiosos, así como a un ingente público quesiguió las sesiones del Encuentro. Prehistoria,Historia Antigua, trazas del Medioevo, lasCartas Arqueológicas de Sanlúcar y Trebujena,intervenciones arqueológicas en el casco urba-no sanluqueño, así como la reconstrucción dela mítica salsa de pescado romana, elgarum,centraron el interés de los asistentes a estas IJornadas de Arqueología del Bajo Guadalqui-vir.

    Between December the 3th and the5th 2013 took place the I Conference ofArchaeology of the Lower Guadalquivir, or-ganized by the association of Friends of theBook & Libraries “Luis de Eguílaz” and theFoundation Casa Medina Sidonia, in Sanlúcarde Barrameda (Cádiz); the institutional site ofthe Conference was the historic Ducal Palaceof Medina Sidonia, one of the most iconic andoldest monuments of the Lower Guadalquivirarea. This meeting, intended to be annual,brought in Sanlúcar a large group of scholars,as well as an interested public that followed thethree days long sessions of the Conference.Prehistory, Ancient History, traces of theMiddle Ages, the Archaeological Cards of San-lúcar and Trebujena, archaeological interven-tions in Sanlucar, as well as the reconstructionof the mythical Roman fish sauce, thegarum,focused the interest of those attending these IConferences Archaeology of the Lower Gua-dalquivir
