    En este trabajo analizo el último libro de Luis García Montero, A puerta cerrada (2017), comparando las tesis que plantea en él en torno a los límites entre lo público y lo privado con la primera etapa del autor cuando teorizaba en torno a la otra sentimentalidad. Me interesa ubicar el libro en una época en la que es manifiesto el progresivo escepticismo que se produce en el autor desde Vista cansada (2007) en torno al mundo y a la perdida de los valores democráticos por los que había luchado en los años ochenta. Lo privado se abre en A puerta cerrada a lo social, poniendo en dudas sus límites. Sin embargo, fiel a sí mismo, el autor nos demuestra con este libro que, aunque los sueños y las banderas se degradan, queda la educación sentimental.

    In this work I analyze the last book by Luis García Montero, A puerta cerrada (2017), comparing the thesis that he raises about the limits between public and private with the first stage of the author when he theorized around the other sentimentality.  I am interested in locating the book at a stage in which the progressive skepticism that occurs in the author from Vista cansada  (2007) around the world and the loss of democratic values for which he had fought in the eighties is evident. The private opens in "A puerta cerrada" to the social, putting in doubt its limits. However, true to himself, the author shows us with this book that, although dreams and flags degrade, sentimental education remains.
