El aprendizaje de la Estadística descriptiva en Ingeniería

    En este artículo se aborda la problemática que representa el uso de la estadística en Ingeniería.

    Revisamos la problemática que existe acerca de este tema, e identificamos que existen problemas para aprender conceptos de estadística y problemas para aplicar la estadística. También, documentamos la importancia que tiene la estadística para un Ingeniero.

    Investigamos algunas aportaciones desde diferentes enfoques, que tratan de resolver parte de esta problemática: las aportaciones de cómo aprende la gente; cómo se enseña y se aprende estadística; la resolución de problemas en matemáticas; y la Teoría de la Matemática en el Contexto de las Ciencias. Se propone usar la Teoría de la Matemática en el Contexto de las Ciencias para diseñar estrategias didácticas que les permitan a los estudiantes de Ingeniería en Tecnologías de la Información en la Universidad Tecnológica de Tecamachalco, construir conocimiento de estadística descriptiva y puedan hacer transferencia de ese conocimiento en la resolución de problemas reales. Esta estrategia usará problemas y proyectos contextualizados que se presentan en su ambiente laboral y profesional

    In this article talks about the problematic that represents the use of statistics in engineering. We reviewed the problematic that exists about this topic and identified that are problem to learn statistics problems and problem to apply it. Furthermore, we documented the importance that it has for an engineer. We investigated some input that try to solve somehow the problematic:

    the contributions of how people learn; the input of how to teach and how to learn statistics; the resolution of mathematics problems; and the theory of mathematic in the context of sciences. It intends to use the theory of mathematic in the context of sciences to design didactic strategies that allows the students of engineering in technologies of information of the technological university of Tecamachalco, to build knowledge of descriptive statistics and could be able to make transfer of this knowledge in the solving of problems in the job environment. This strategy will use contextualized problems and projects presented in their work and professional environment
