Resumen de El Necroturismo y la puesta en valor del cementerio de la Chacarita como recurso turístico de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires

El presente trabajo define el turismo necrológico - basado en la visita a cementerios de importante contenido histórico, estético y biográfico - y aborda la puesta en valor del Cementerio de la Chacarita como posible atractivo para el turismo nacional e internacional de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Se precisan los alcances del rubro, observando su desarrollo a nivel mundial, y enfatizando la importancia del patrimonio funerario. Se explora el patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible que se encuentra en la necrópolis de Chacarita y sus anexos los Cementerios Alemán y Británico, y se analiza la viabilidad de realizar un circuito de interés turístico que atraiga a los visitantes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

This paper defines Necrological Tourism – based on the visit to cemeteries of important historical, aesthetic, and biographical content – and addresses the value of Chacarita Cemetery as a possible attraction for national and international tourism of the City of Buenos Aires. It determines the scopes of the item, observing its worldwide development, and emphasizing the importance of funeral patrimony. It explores the tangible and intangible cultural heritage found in the necropolis of Chacarita and its annexes, the German and British Cemeteries, and it analyzes the feasibility of making a circuit of tourist interest that attracts visitors to the City of Buenos Aires.
