    Tras la retirada de Donald Trump del acuerdo nuclear, reestablecer las sanciones contra la economía iraní y la designación de la Guardia Revolucionaria en la lista negra de las organizaciones terroristas, las tensiones entre ambos países han llegado a un importante nivel desde el cese de relaciones diplomáticas en el 1979. Estas tensiones abarcan varios factores políticos, económicos y geoestratégicos que han implicado incrementar el riesgo de estallar una dura confrontación bélica en el Oriente Medio y, especialmente, en el área del Golfo Pérsico. En este documento analizamos desde el punto de vista panorámico, la presente tensión entre Teherán y Washington y las estrategias que adopta cada parte para maximizar su ventaja frente al otro

    After the withdrawal of Donald Trump from the nuclear agreement, restoring sanctions against the Iranian economy and the designation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the blacklist of terrorist organizations, tensions between the two countries have reached an important level since the cessation of diplomatic relations in 1979. These tensions encompass several political, economic and geostrategic factors that have implied the increased risk of bursting a hard-military confrontation in the Middle East and especially in the area of the Persian Gulf. In this work, we analyse from a panoramic point of view, the current tension between Tehran and Washington and the strategies that each party probably adopts to maximize its advantage.
