    La ofensiva de Turquía en el norte de Siria ha tenido profundas consecuencias en el plano estratégico. Por un lado, Turquía ha sido capaz de satisfacer parcialmente sus necesidades en materia de seguridad, limitando la capacidad operativa del YPG/PYD y debilitando su relación con los EE. UU. Estos últimos, por su parte, han visto su credibilidad en la región seriamente perjudicada, mientras para Rusia y el régimen de Asad, cuyas posiciones han resultado claramente reforzados, se han abierto nuevas oportunidades para extender su influencia.

    Turkey’s offensive in northern Syria has had profound implications at strategic level. On the one hand, Turkey has been able to partially address its security concerns by reducing the military capabilities of the YPG/PYD and by limiting US’ support. On the other hand, the credibility of the latter throughout the region has been seriously damaged. Meanwhile, Russian and Assad’s regime positions have been reinforced, thus obtaining further opportunities to extend their influence.
