    El edificio que acoge actualmente al Hotel Izán está ubicado en el antiguo convento de San Antonio, en la calle y plaza de su mismo nom-bre, que habitaron las religiosas Descalzas fran-ciscanas. El Padre de la Cueva, sacerdote truji-llano y don Francisco Sánchez, son los que con-siguieron que se construyera el convento para Religiosas de la Orden Clarisas. Presentamos un estudio histórico-artístico completísimo sobre los orígenes del convento, su arquitectura y pintu-ras murales que aún se conservan, así como el proceso de restauración y consolidación del mis-mo para adaptarlo a Hotel.

    The building is currently home to the Hotel Izan is located in the convent of San Anto-nio, on the street and square of the same name, who inhabited the religious Franciscan nuns. The father of the Cave, Trujillian priest, and don Francisco Sanchez, are those who managed the construction of the convent for the Sisters of the Order of St. Clare. We present a historical-artistic study complete on the origins of the con-vent, its architecture and mural paintings, which are still preserved, as well as the process of res-toration and consolidation of the same to adapt it to the Hotel.
