El Grupo Universitario Laboral de Montaña (GULMONT) tuvo una gran trayectoria espeleológica y no solo a nivel local o provincial, pues participó activamente en exploraciones nacionales e internacionales. Este artículo se centra en el contexto donde se fundó el grupo y cuáles fueron los antecedentes que dieron lugar a sus orígenes.
