    • Genomic imprinting is the parental-allelespecific ex pression of genes. Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS), a congenital overgrowth syndrome with increased risk of childhood tumors, is one of the well-known diseases caused by imprinted genes. The im~rinted genes causing B WS are discussed in this reVIew.
