Para el filósofo de la comunicación Vilém Flusser los aparatos digitales incorporan en su programación una lógica interna de funcionamiento, de manera que no es el usuario quien circunscribe el uso del dispositivo, sino que es el propio dispositivo técnico el que delimita las competencias del usuario. El diseño discriminatorio del dispositivo técnico es capaz de indicarle a la policía qué área patrullar; a los jueces, qué penas imponer; a los corredores de bolsa, cuándo comprar o vender. El algoritmo como función determinante de un mundo cuantificado en la estadística tiene el poder de imponer los límites y las formas de lo normativo, influyendo en los modos que asume lo real, creando una malla, filtro, o red epistemológica en los vínculos mediatizados de lo real. El nodo central de este texto apunta a dilucidar en qué nivel de competencia tecnológica debe operar el usuario para no estar condicionado por las imposiciones del algoritmo, y la importancia generativa del bien común.

For the philosopher of communication, Vilém Flusser, digital communication devices incorporate in their programming an internal logic operation, so that, it is not the user who circumscribes the use of the device, but it is the technical device itself that defines the user's competences. The discriminatory design of the technical device is able to tell the police which area to patrol; to the judges, what penalties to impose; to stockbrokers, when to buy or sell. The algorithm as a determining function of a quantified world in statistics has the power to impose the limits and forms of the normative, influencing the ways the real assumes, creating a mesh, filter, or epistemological network in the mediated links of the real. The central node of this text aims to elucidate at what level of technological competence the user must operate so as not to be conditioned by the impositions of the algorithm, and the generative importance of the common good.
