  • Since 1585, Canary islands has suffered 12 eruptions, the last in 19 71 in La Palma. The main problem searching common behaviours for previous planning is the sma/1 number of eruptions that we have. Al/ the eruptions show sorne general characteristics as chemistry, explosivity, etc. where we can construct a «medium type» eruption, that wi/1 be the mosl probable in case of occurrence. The deep study of each historical eruption provides vital information when modelizing a future process to plan and reduce ils consequences.
