La Red Iberoamericana de Computación de Altas Prestaciones (Ricap), cofinanciada por el programa Cyted, aúna a distintas instituciones iberoamericanas que pretenden proveer gratuitamente a la región de dos infraestructuras de computación de alto rendimiento y de alta productividad. Con una vigencia de 4 años, exporta a Latinoamérica la experiencia adquirida en iniciativas tales como Prace o la Red Española de Supercomputación con el propósito de ofrecer a los investigadores con menos recursos computacionales un fácil acceso a los mismos.

The Ibero-American Network of High-Performance Computing (RICAP), co-funded by the CYTED program, brings together various Ibero-American institutions that intend to provide two high-performance, high throughput computing infrastructures to the region free of charge. With a lifetime of 4 years, it exports the experience acquired in initiatives such as PRACE and the Spanish Supercomputing Network to Latin America with the purpose of offering easy access to computational resources to researchers.
