Mobile marketing has attracted the attention of researchers from several areas of knowledge, such as: marketing, information technology and organizational strategy. Despite the advances made, little has been done to make the construct, and its dimensions, even more robust. Mobile marketing is a set of practices that aims to interact and generate communication with potential customers through mobile devices: smartphones, SMS and tablets. The use of platforms and new digital technologies started to generate new consumption habits. The purpose of this article is to identify the elements that influence the design of rival mobile marketing models. The survey gathered 222 responses from potential consumers of products/services through mobile devices. Data analysis was performed using two statistical software that helped in the analysis of multivariate statistics and structural equation modeling. The research results confirmed part of the tested hypotheses, in addition to generating new insights about the dimensions of mobile marketing.
The managerial implications of the research suggest that mobile marketing models can assist managers and potential customers in making decisions regarding the use of platforms or new digital technologies to purchase products/services through internet access.
