El fondo fotográfico del Arxiu Mas resulta ser un elocuente testimonio del interés dirigido, por distintos historiadores del arte, en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, hacia el patrimonio aragonés. Las fotografías realizadas en las múltiples campañas han adquirido, en el trascurso de los años, el estatus de documentos primarios para todas aquellas investigaciones e intervenciones destinadas a la recuperación de un patrimonio golpeado por el paso del tiempo y la acción del hombre. La presente comunicación forma parte del trabajo de investigación de mi tesis doctoral –aún en curso–sobre el Archivo Mas de Barcelona, en el cual se contempla tanto el estudio biográfico del mismo, como las múltiples campañas fotográficas realizadas, a lo largo de la geografía española, entre 1900 y 1936.
The photographic collection of Arxiu Mas is configured as a testimony to the documentary interest expressed by various art historians, in the early twentieth century, about to Aragonese heritage.
Photographs taken in the many campaigns have acquired, in the course of the years, the status of primary documents for those studies and interventions aimed at recovering historical and material of this heritage beaten inevitably for time and human action. This dissertation is part of the research for my doctoral thesis, still in progress, about the Arxiu Mas de Barcelona. In this investigation is included the biographical study of the archive and all photographic campaigns by the Spanish geography, in the chronological period from 1900 to 1936.
