El escenario afgano une a su gran complejidad política y operativa una gran dificultad añadida. Se trata del abismo cultural que separa a la población de los contingentes extranjeros desplegados en el país. El incidente de la quema de los coranes en Bagram demuestra la necesidad de extremar la instrucción y concienciación de las tropas para no poner en peligro la difícil convivencia con la población y las autoridades afganas.

The complexity of the Afghan theater is caused by its political and operational difficulties. But further than this axioma there is a cultural chasm that separates the population of foreign troops deployed in the country. The incident of the burning of the Koran in Bagram demonstrates the need for extreme training and awareness of the troops not to jeopardize the living together among troops and people and the Afghan authorities.
