    Favorecer la participación de la mujer en las ingenierías, las tecnologías y las ciencias económicas es un reto importante para las universidades estatales, puesto que como ocurre con la mayoría de casos de desigualdad de género, un obstáculo a vencer es la cultura de opiniones negativas hacia las capacidades y cualidades de la mujer para desempeñarse con éxito. A ellas se le suman otros grupos como los afrodescendientes y los indígenas cuyas oportunidades de ingreso a estas carreras también están plagadas de sesgos y prejuicios.Para atenuar este factor se requiere generar condiciones en las que los grupos minoritarios, en este caso, mujeres, afrocostarricense e indígenas, tengan en cantidad y en calidad, mejores opciones para superar las barreras para ingresar a estas carreras con gran contenido matemático. El Aula Móvil es un programa de extensión académica que materializa el vínculo universidad–sociedad y por medio del cual se generan y socializan conocimientos de importancia científica y cultural brindándole a la academia la oportunidad de responder y atender de manera estratégica, al desarrollo local y nacional a partir de las necesidades identificadas en la sociedad

    Encouraging the participation of women in engineering, technology and economic sciences is a major challenge for state universities, since as with most cases of gender inequality, an obstacle to overcome is the culture of negative opinions towards the abilities and qualities of the woman to perform successfully. They are joined by other groups such as Afro-descendants and indigenous people whose opportunities to enter these careers are also plagued by biases and prejudices.To mitigate this factor, it is necessary to generate conditions in which the minority groups, in this case, women, Afro-Costa Ricans and indigenous people, have in quantity and quality, better options to overcome the barriers to enter these careers with great mathematical content. The Aula Movil is an academic extension program that materializes the university-society bond and through which important scientific and cultural knowledge are generated and socialized, giving the academy the opportunity to respond and attrend strategically to local and national development from the needs identified in society.
