En aquesta comunicació s’expliquen els fets succeïts la nit del 3 de març de 1719 a les cases del Rafal Garcès. Aquell dia, el batle d’Inca i els seus lloctinents, acompanyats dels algutzirs de l’Audiència, detingueren diverses persones sospitoses de col·laborar amb un dels bandejats més famosos de Mallorca. També es posaren a l’aguait a l’entorn de les cases per capturar-lo, sense aconseguir el seu propòsit. Els fets, descrits a una sumària fiscal conservada a l’Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca, ens permeten identificar els personatges que intervingueren a l’episodi i l’escenari, les cases del Rafal Garcès, que conserven poc alterats alguns dels elements referits en ella

This communication describes the events happened during the night of 3rd March, of 1719, at the Rafal Garcès site, nearby of Inca. On that day, the mayor of Inca and his lieutenants, accompanied by the hearers, arrested several people suspected of collaborating with one of the most famous bandits in Mallorca. They were also lurking around the houses to capture it, without achieving its purpose. The facts, described in a fiscal summary prosecuted in the Archive of the Kingdom of Majorca, allowed identifying the people who participated in the episode and the scene, the houses of the Rafal Garcès site, where some of the elements described in the fiscal summary are currently well maintained.
