    Per Stefano D’Arrigo il ritorno dagli orrori della guerra non può attuarsi davvero senza il recupero del momento originario e inventivo del linguaggio che rende di nuovo abitabile il mondo. Dai primi scritti giornalistici fino a Horcynus Orca, D’Arrigo sperimenta così l’intersezione fra poesia e racconto per rappresentare lo spaesamento e la lotta del «reduce», anche sulla base di una rilettura filosofica dell’opera di Hölderlin.

    For Stefano D’Arrigo the return from the horrors of war cannot take place without retrieving the original and inventive moment of language, which in itself renders the world once more inhabitable. From his earliest writings in newspapers to Horcynus Orca, D’Arrigo experiments with the intersections between poetry and story writing, in an effort to represent the disorientation and battle of the «returning soldier», amongst other things by means of a philosophical rereading of Hölderlin’s works.
