This paper in concerned with the relationship, between the “clothed body” and the visual. The former is a semiotic category epitomizing the ways in which, through its visual aspect the subject establishes its being the world and its appearance style. Dressing in this sense is a nonverbal language; it is a device for modelling the world, a form of projection and simulation, valid for both the individual and society.
