    Con la biografía de Ignacia Goya, intentamos reconstruir el ambiente social y cultural del área rural pampeana a mediados del siglo XIX, ya que nos interesa observar esta sociedad de cerca con el fin de averiguar las motivaciones y las estrategias cotidianas de las familias y principalmente de las mujeres vascas. De este modo podremos ver por un lado, la versatilidad de Ignacia para adaptarse a un sistema jurídico diferente al del país vasco, principalmente en lo referido a la repartición igualitaria de los bienes; luego, percibir el rol económico que desplegó diferenciando su etapa de casada de la de viudez y por último, intentaremos que el proceso inmigratorio no suponga un corte en la historia de Ignacia.

    Creemos que las tradiciones familiares, los mandatos y las pautas de comportamiento trascienden los desplazamientos de las personas y/o familias por eso hemos puesto énfasis en las permanencias culturales, sociales e incluso sentimentales desde el país vasco hasta la pampa argentina

    With the biography of Ignacia Goya, we tried to reconstruct the social and cultural environment of the rural Pampean area in the middle of the XIX century, as we are interested in observe this society closely in order to find out the motivations and the daily strategies of families and mainly of the Basque women. In this way we can see, on the one hand, the versatility of Ignacia to adapt to a legal system different from that of the Basque country, mainly in relation to the equal distribution of goods; then, to perceive the economic role that she displayed, differentiating her stage from married to widowhood and finally, we will try to prove that the immigration process doesn´t imply a cut in the history of Ignacia. We believe that family traditions, mandates and patterns of behavior transcend the displacement of people and / or families. That´s why we have emphasized cultural, social and even sentimental permanence from the Basque country to the Argentine Pampa.
